Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu) secretary general Francis Atwoli has singled out Health Principal Secretary, Nicholas Muraguri, as the person to blame for the failure of talks between the government and striking doctors officials.
He said that the infighting among top officials at the health ministry made it impossible for any meaningful negotiations to be conducted. The doctor's officials are now serving a one-month jail term for failing to call off the strike.
