This is in a move to increase the daily average milk produced per cow from 11 litres to 36litres.

Speaking during a KDFF Uasin Gishu county meeting in Eldoret, Dominic Menjo said that there was need to improve the quantity and quality of milk produced for good sales.

“A farmer investing in a cow, should strive to get more profit from the produce he gets, which must be more than the money he spends in the cow,’’ said Menjo.

A previous research statistic shows that the total amount of milk produced in Uasin Gishu county is worth Sh8billion while the a total of Sh9billion is invested in dairy farming.

This registration is meant to help KDFF to know the total number of dairy cattle and their farmers in a bid to distribute the animal health technician’s equally.

Hence this will aid improve health conditions of cows.
