Opposition supporters continue to wait with a lot of anxiety when the National Super Alliance leaders will settle on a presidential candidate.A key member of the committee that was formed to identify the opposition’s ideal candidate has revealed that they are close to naming their flag bearer.The politician said NASA will make known their candidate by Friday next week.NASA’s National Coordinating Committee has confirmed that it is waiting for a final report from the technical committee on all important matters related to the coalition.“We have accomplished our duty and by the end of this month, we will have a date with Kenyans to tell them who will lead them towards the August 8 polls victory,” Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama said on Wednesday.The NCC co-chair said they have completed their mandate. The NCC has also suspended all its meetings so as to give the technical committee time to finalise its assignments.“The technical team made up of lawyer Dan Ameyo, economist David Ndii, Koitamet ole Kina and East African Legislative Assembly member Zein Abubakar is meeting daily through to Sunday to finish its work,” the Standard reported on Thursday.The technical committee is expected to hand over its report to the NCC by Monday next week.
