‘Daughters of Raila Odinga’ support group took Kisumu city by storm as they engaged in a number of activities to raise money and campaign for the NASA leader.

The chairlady of the team Renee Nyakerario said they are out to seek solid support for Raila when the country goes to the polls.

Nyekerario led a team of ladies washing cars in Kisumu for a fee to raise funds for the campaigns of Raila.

She said that Kenya needs urgent change and voting Raila will tilt some of the challenges the country is going through.

“We have seen Warembo na Raila but for us, we value Raila as our father that is why we coined the name to Daughters of Raila,” she said.

Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Sunday at Vimba Car Wash, Nyekerario said they have a countrywide grassroots support base.

Kisumu chapter chairlady Veronica Akoth said they will not tire with creating awareness on the need to vote Raila later this month.

Akoth said they are engaging in cleaning markets, visiting churches to send the message home that Raila’s presidency is what can cure Kenya.

“We have a strong feeling that this country needs to be fixed and the only fixer around is Raila Odinga,” she said.

She noted that the economy of the country needs to be salvaged.
