ODM party leader Raila Odinga has said that the newly appointed Chief Justice David Maraga will always rule in his favour.

Raila was among the leaders who congratulated Judge Maraga following his appointment by JSC to replace former CJ Willy Mutunga early in June. 

"I congratulate justice David Maraga on being appointed Chief Justice. Hopefully, he'll always rule in my favour," Reads Raila's post on his twitter.

Maraga is expected to take office as the new CJ once the National assembly and the President approve his name.

Maraga will serve as the CJ for 6 years.
