David Ndii is today, Monday, expected to appear before the DCI for questioning, after he was accused of incitement.
Ndii, NASA’s main strategist was last week on Sunday arrested, in what was thought to be over his role in the formations of the People’s assembly.
He was chosen to chair the committee overseeing the formations of the assemblies, which have so far been formed in some of NASA’ stronghold counties.
The DPP ordered Ndii's release on a police bond of Sh10,000 as the probe continues.
The economist had initially said that Raila Odinga will be sworn in tomorrow, Tuesday, but the coalition has called off the planned event.
Musalia Mudavadi, NASA’s chief presidential campaigner told their supporters that they will give a communication later on, but tomorrow’s plans have been canceled.
“The swearing-in of Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as President and Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya and the launch of the People’s Assembly scheduled for Tuesday, 12 December, has been postponed to a later date,” Raila's chief Presidential Campaigner Musalia Mudavadi.
Ndii’s arrest was widely condemned, with activists terming the move as dictatorial.
