NASA strategist David Ndii's wife, Mwende Gatabaki has strongly defended her husband following his arrest on Sunday night.Ndii was arrested, allegedly because of his appointment to chair People's Assembly steering committee which is planning the swearing-in of Raila Odinga on December 12.Odinga's last born daughter, Winnie Odinga alongside Mwende were also arrested later after they had gone to Diani Police Station to complain about Ndii'd arrest of Ndii. He had been picked by police from Leopard Beach Hotel in Diani, Kwale.Mwende addressed the press on Monday afternoon, where she slammed the police, saying they lied to her that her husband had been taken to a neighboring police station. It was later revealed that Ndii had been transported during the night to Nairobi CID Headquarters for interrogation."The officers told me that they were taking my husband to Diani police station but when we went to Diani police station we did not find him there," she said.Mwende condemned arrest and harassment of her husband and further accused President Kenyatta of unfairly targeting her family. She said her family was under threat and that unknown people trail her husband and survey their home by parking vehicles outside her gate whenever they are not at home.NASA legal team led by lawyer James Orengo arrived at the CID offices to follow up on the case.
