Kiambu woman representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba who has hit news headlines for asking men to be polygamous has been full of controversy since August 8, 2017, polls.
In a campaign trail last year ahead of the Presidential repeat polls, Ms Muchomba was humiliated by Githurai residents who referred to her as Gathoni Wamichaara’ (Gathoni of salaries).
This is after she led lawmakers in the 12th parliament to demand salary increment just days after they were voted into parliament.
"Apana Apana...Hatutaki kuongeleshwa na Gathoni...Tafhadali usimpatiemicrophone hatuko tayari kumsikiliza (please don't give her a microphone we don't want her to talk to us)" they said.
The reactions forced the DP to deny her a chance to address the crowd and instead the microphone was handed over to Senator Kimani Wa Matangi.
On Monday, Ms Muchomba hit News headlines again when she asked rich men in Kiambu to marry more than one wife.
