When President Uhuru Kenyatta visited Garissa County last year, he was hosted by National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale.
President Kenyatta was in the region on January 24, 2017, for a mass voter registration campaign together with other Jubilee leaders.
After a number of political rallies in the county, President Kenyatta and other leaders among them Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji, Lagdera MP Mohammed Shidiye, Fafi MP Bare Shill, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko among others had lunch in Duale’s mansion.
The former teacher, now Member of Parliament for Garissa Township, Mr Duale is one of the most vocal defenders of Uhuru’s Jubilee administration.
Mr Duale is one of the wealthiest politicians in the country together with his brother, Noor Barre, who have built their own empire in Garissa county.
Garissa county is a semi-arid area but the palatial home owned by Duale is a jungle green oasis with beautiful trees and evergreen grass.
