The rotting body of a young man aged 21 was Sunday discovered inside a house at Free Area at the outskirts of Nakuru Town.
The body was found after a period of two weeks when the deceased, identified as James Njenga Mukuhe, went missing.
Area chief Stephen Macharia Kihara confirmed the incident saying that the young man who had epilepsy was last seen in public on June 1.
He has added that he was informed about the incident by the area's Nyumba Kumi leaders after neighbors complained of foul smell emanating from the house adding that flies were also spotted in the plot where the foul smell was emanating.
According to the area chief, he was forced to call the police who opened the young man’s door yesterday on Sunday 12th June 2016 only to find his rotting body.
"We established that the young man was dead after peeping through the window. According to his mother and sister, the young man had epilepsy and they think that the late may have had a seizure while in his house which may have lead to his death,’ added the chief.
Neighbours were shocked over the incident.
