Haji wants the IG and other security agencies to take stern action against politicians who are allegedly perpetuating chaotic campaigns.

Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Saturday, Haji asked the police not to be lenient on hate mongers, inciters and propagandists.

The former Defense Minister said that rogue politicians are threatening the county's peace and stability.

“The Inspector General of Police and other top security agencies should move with speed and tame rogue politicians who are threatening the country’s security and peace,” he said.

Haji said that the county is staring at possible violence if rogue politicians are allowed to continue with their dirty politics.

The senator also asked political parties to take action against members and aspirants who are fueling violence.

He stated that the country’s security should not be threatened by rogue politicians who are hungry for power.

“Our security is bigger and much more important than politician’s interests and we must reject any attempts by the political class to divide the country,” he said.

Haji asked Kenyans to reject politicians who preach hatred in their campaigns.
