Ahadi Trust Kenya CEO Stanley Kamau has challenged the government to strengthen measures on how to deal with men who impregnate teenagers, making them drop out of school.
According to Stanley, many girls have dropped from school due to early pregnancies which is a matter that needs to be addressed.
Speaking on Thursday at Kisii primary during the anti-jiggers campaign he challenged the government in collaboration with other institutions to set measures on how to end it.
"It is shameful finding men sleeping with young girl’s without minding the future of these girls," he said.
He added that as a result of early pregnancies the percentage of poverty is high as the girl cannot manage themselves after being used and dumped.
"The percentage of poverty and dropping from school is high even the young girls get hostility from their parents who end up chasing them away from home when they are chased they live a miserable life which has made some to commit suicide," he said.
"Measures should be set so that we can end this menace and rescue our girls, this can only be achieved when we come together to address the challenged by setting some ways on how we can curb this," he added.
