Addressing residents on Sunday, Nakuru East MP David Gikaria said that cases of criminals terrorizing traders and residents have increased.

The MP said that he had received several complaints from locals over the matter and was now asking the police to investigate.

“Nakuru police should conduct probes into claims that criminals are terrorizing residents,” Gikaria said.

Gikaria stated that police should ‘up their game’ in guaranteeing the safety of residents and protecting that of their property.

Gikaria further asked the police to conduct more patrols especially in areas believed to be criminals den. He lauded the security measures being conducted by the national government.

Gikaria said that Kenyans were slowly getting confidence in the country’s top security institutions, and added that the same standards should be maintained as the country focuses on development.
