A woman was sentenced to hang after court established that she killed her sales girl.
25-year-old Teresia Wacuka was murdered in November 2015.
A Kajiado High Court on Tuesday slapped Redempta Nthenya with the severe sentence with judge Reuben Nyakundi saying that the Kenyan constitution has not been changed and therefore hanging as punishment is still in place.
"Nthenya committed a heinous crime by taking away a life of a fellow human being. She should equally suffer the same fate."
Wacuka went missing on November 22, 2015.
Her body was last year January found in a septic tank within Ongata Rongai after an intensive search.
Justice Nyakundi however gave Nthenya 14 days to file her appeal.
