Ten people died and others were injured after a Nissan-Matatu was involved in another freak accident along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway.
The passenger matatu collided with a lorry on Saturday night at Makutano area along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
Witnesses said the driver of the mMatatu was trying to overtake when he collided head on with an oncoming lorry.
Seven people perished on the spot and three others died as they received treatment.
Eldama Ravine Officer in charge of health, Dr. Sheila Mwaruka said four people who sustained injuries were taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
The accident happened just four days after a fatal one at Sachagwa, still along the road, which claimed close to 30 lives on Jamhuri day.
