The fifth National Super Alliance (Nasa) Isaac Ruto has hailed his colleague, Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga, after he showed up for the highly anticipated presidential candidates' debate.
The Bomet Governor who is also the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader, commended Odinga, for respecting the will of the people by showing up to to answer to questions about what he will do for Kenyans, if elected.
"Congratulations our captain, Hon Raila Odinga for respecting Kenyans and for the clear articulation of the Nasa vision during the #debatesKE," Ruto said through his Twitter account.
President Uhuru Kenyatta skipped the event, eliciting mixed reactions from across the country, with many criticising him for disappointing them.
Former Subukia MP, Koigi Wa Wamwere, also hailed Odinga, saying Uhuru should fire his advisors for 'misleading' him.
"The Peoples President RAO; Articulate, Convincing, Cordial with a fair dose of humour! Uhuru it is your loss fire your advisors #DebatesKE," twitted Koigi.
