The Kanu party should declare if it will back President Uhuru Kenyatta’s reelection or the Opposition’s flag bearer in next year’s elections so it does not cause confusion among Jubilee Party supporters in the Rift Valley, West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin has said.
The governor of the independence party’s chairman take a clear position on the 2017 election.
"They are either with us in Jubilee or with Cord. They should not cause unnecessary confusion by refusing to take a stand,” Kachapin said.
Kanu and Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto's Chama Cha Mashinani have declined to dissolve and join JP.
The two parties have been linked to the National Super Alliance (NASA), a coalition of opposition parties.
