Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has accused Jubilee government of allegedly using MPs who recently defected from Wiper party to divide Kamba people ahead of the 2017 general elections.
The MP claims that Jubilee government wants to scuttle Kamba votes ahead of the 2017 general elections.
The Kathiani legislator also claims that the Jubilee government is using the MPs to woe Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka out of Cord.
“We know there agenda is to cause rifts among Kamba people and divide the votes ahead of 2017,” he said on Tuesday.
Mbui said that they will not allow some selfish politicians to divide the community.
“We are going to stand against any efforts aimed at dividing the Kamba community,” he added.
Speaking at Kathiani town on Tuesday, the MP also dismissed the 30 day ultimatum issued to Wiper leader Kalonzo by the defectors to unite Kamba community.
He said that the MPs have no authority to issue ultimatums to anyone.
Mbui who is also the Wiper party national organizing secretary asked the defectors to keep of Wiper affairs since they decided to quit the party.
The MP said that Wiper will remain strong without the defectors.
Mbui also dismissed claims that Cord has lost grip of Ukambani region to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee government.
