Led by Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and a number of MCAs from the county they decided to abandon their party and support Jubilee just a day after the Raila visited Gusii and exuded confidence that Kisii and Nyamira block was behind him despite Jubilee frequent visits with goodies.

Maangi told Raila that he is not cowed by ODM bullying affirming that he is in jubilee to stay.

“Nobody can intimidate me by stopping my association with Jubilee, I am not coward about what they say let them mind their own business, I will continue supporting Jubilee,” said Maangi.

The former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae who was part of the team supporting Maxwell Magoma of JP told off Raila Odinga from living a lie that is still controlling the community votes.

Nyachae told Raila to respect Kisii and Nyamira leaders since they are the ones to determine the destiny of the community adding that the community has settled in Uhuruto’s JP.

Ababu’s NLP candidate Osoro Magati was also on the ground with the party organising secretary Peter Ole Musie who told the residents to support their candidate in the election with the candidate selling self as the best to lead the Nyacheki ward.

The seat fell vacant following the death of Peter Nyaega who was elected on ODM party in 2013 general election.
