Donald Trump got a fair share of Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe’s anti- West jibes, as the veteran leader took on United States foreign policies under the Republicans.

A part from President Uhuru Kenyatta, several African Heads of State met for the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday.

The new US president, Mugabe said, was keen to see extinction of other countries, likening him to the Biblical Goliath.

“Some of us are embarrassed if not frightened, by what appears to be the return of Biblical Gold Goliath. Are we having a return of Goliath who threatens extinction of other countries?” he asked, triggering applause in the hall as two junior US diplomats listened.

He further said:”And may I say to US President Donald Trump please blow your trumpet – blow it in a musical way towards values of unity and peace.”

Although Uhuru could have missed due to impending presidential repeat election due October, Foreign Affairs Cabinet secretary Amina Mohammed represented Kenya.

Mugabe, 93, is among the longest serving African presidents having been at the helm of power since 1980 when the South African nation broke chain of colonial masters.
