President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned opposition leader against cannibalizing IEBC adding that he will still be president whether elections are held or not.
A constitutional crisis is looming in the county with IEBC delaying to give in to demands among them sacking of senior officials within the commission.
But an agitated Uhuru on Wednesday accused Odinga of dictating the commission and warned that elections must be held within the stipulated time.
“As Jubilee, we are ready to show the world that our victory was stolen by courts. He should equally stop dictating the commission.
“Otherwise we cannot sit and watch him intimidate us. He should also understand that the seat of presidency is not vacant and I will continue executing my duties as usual,” he said.
Legal maestro James Orengo had warned that if elections are not held within 60 days following the Supreme Court ruling, Uhuru’s tenure will expire.
A divergent view by Attorney General, however, claims that the sitting president will continue executing executive powers until a new one us ushered in.
