A 4-year-old girl, who was allegedly defiled on Saturday September 6, in Manyatta estate Kisumu town, is going through a difficult time as she continues to receive medication at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and referral (Russia) hospital in Kisumu.
According to Lancer Akoth, the girl’s mother, the child is now going for long calls through the vagina due to the injuries sustained from the defilement ordeal.
“The doctors say she is supposed to undergo an operation at the hospital to correct the situation,” said Akoth
The mother said the young girl was allegedly defiled by a standard seven boy, who is their next door neighbour in Manyatta. The suspect allegedly lured the young girl by lying to her that he was going to buy chips for her.
He is alleged to have defiled and left her near Manyatta Primary School.
“I am not aware of anything that may have caused him to do this to my daughter. We are close neighbours who have always lived in peace,” added the mother.
A good samaritan found her in a bad state, managed to find her parents and the girl was eventually taken to hospital.
The suspect was arrested on the same day, booked at the Kondele police station and later taken to court. The case is still on-going.
Her mother wants the law to take its cause. “To be honest, I don’t even know what to say. My only prayer would be that the law takes its full effect,” she said.
