A suspect accused of defiling a 16-year-old girl was on Monday released on a Sh100,000 bond by an Eldoret court.

The suspect was arraigned before Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa where he denied charges against him.

The prosecution told the court that Biwott committed the crime between November 12 and 14 2017 at Kiambaa area of Wareng district, Uasin Gishu county.

He was released on a Sh100,000 bond with a surety of similar amount.

Hearing for the case has been set for December 4, 2017.
