A defilement suspect and victim have been reported missing in Nakuru.
The suspect, Zephania Musungu, was out on a Sh400,000 bail after he denied abusing the Standard 6 pupil in his Kaptembwa home in Nakuru October last year.
The search for the two has since kicked off, with Nakuru OCPD Daniel Kitavi saying that his officers are suspecting that the incident could be an abduction case.
According to the Nation, the suspect lured the girl into his house and then threatened to kill her if she disclosed what happened but the girl confided to her mother.
The mother reported the case to the police and on realizing this, the suspect took off before he was arrested and charged in court in July.
The case was set to be heard this week but that has proved impossible as the case file has also gone missing.
The court has since directed the police to arrest the suspect, who has skipped three consecutive court dates, and present him before it on December 7.
