Kibwezi East MP Jessica Mbalu has urged NASA principals to speed up and unveil the Alliance presidential flag bearer.

Mbalu says that NASA’s delay in naming its flag bearer is causing cracks in the Alliance.

The lawmaker says that NASA has to quickly unveil and endorse its flag bearer if it really wants to send Jubilee government home.

The Kibwezi East MP warned that NASA’S delay on naming the flag bearer will affect the alliance campaign strategy ahead of the polls.

“By now we (NASA) ought to have a flag bearer to effectively compete and defeat Jubilee government in the August 8 polls,” she said on Thursday as quoted by the Star.

Mbalu at the same time urged NASA co-principals Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to endorse Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as its flag bearer.

Mbalu said that Kalonzo is the best bet to send President Uhuru Kenyatta home. The MP also said that Kalonzo has diplomatic experience and will make a good president.

She urged the Kamba community to support Kalonzo’s presidential bid.

NASA is under pressure to unveil its presidential flag bearer.

There have been speculations that the NASA has settled on Raila Odinga as flag bearer and Kalonzo as deputy.

Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula have however refuted the claims saying that the alliance is yet to unveil its flag bearer.

Sources claim that NASA principals will retreat again this weekend to address the flag bearer stalemate that has threatened to split the Alliance.
