Delivery of this year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination materials is set to start on Friday.

According to reports, the materials will be allocated to their respective sub-counties.

Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) acting chief executive Mercy Karogo is currently coordinating the delivery with sub-county directors and has ordered them to make the necessary arrangement on how the materials will be received.

“Knec officers delivering the examination materials have been instructed to communicate with respective sub-county directors of education to inform them of the exact date of delivery,” said Ms Karogo in a circular dated October 24.

Karogo says examination rehearsal will take place on October 30 and the examination itself will take place between October 31 and November 2.

Over 1,003,000 students are set to sit for this year’s KCPE exam which will take place at over 28,500 centres.

Karogo added that all KCPE materials must be returned by the county directors between November 3 and November 5.
