Youths in Kegogi ward in Kisii County have been advised to demand a log book when they buy motorbikes from other individuals.
According to Kegogi ward Youths leader Shadrack Mwebi, one of the motorbike rider in the area escaped death after he was found with a stolen bike from Miruka area
Addressing riders in kegogi town on Friday Mwebi advised them to demand log books when they buy motorbikes from other people to avoid being stoned if the motorbike is stolen.
“Logbook helps a lot in identifying who is the owner of the motorbike and once you have it will be used as evidence,” said Shadrack Mwebi
“Some few days ago you saw one of you was almost killed because he bought a motorbike without demanding the log book and the bike was stolen from Miruka area be careful always,” he added.
Mwebi urged police officers to beef up security in Kegogi mostly during night time since they have shown their fear of being terrorised in the area.
