Cord co-principals and former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka has welcomed leaders from Jubilee coalition to join Wiper ahead of the 2017 elections in what he termed as lack of democracy in the Jubilee administration.
He has opposed a move by Jubilee to dissolve political parties to form one party.
“I welcome those who have no place in Jubilee to Wiper Democratic Party. We stand for inclusivity. We at Wiper are keen on democracy. I compare the Wiper Democratic Movement to the Democrats in the USA,” he said.
He added that Jubilee’s new party is aimed at to intimidate people from small communities who will be locked out during the nominations.
“Members to the parties that dissolved to form new Jubilee should expect poor nominations as many of them may lose their tickets to seek for seat in 2017 elections,” he noted.
He was speaking during a radio interview on Thursday morning at Radio citizen, Jambo Kenya show.
