Former KTN investigative journalist Mohammed Ali popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu has told voters in Mombasa’s Nyali Constituency to reject politicians out to bribe their way to victory during the August polls.Moha is facing stiff competition ahead of the ODM primaries in the constituency currently represented in Parliament by Hezron Awiti.“One day, the voice of the poor will be respected,” he posted on his official Facebook page at the end of one of his campaign trails in Nyali.“Denounce the politics of bribery because it amounts to auctioning the lives of your children.”He made the remarks while addressing residents of Mbuyuni and Kwa Katana as he heightened his campaigns ahead of the ODM nominations in the constituency.Moha who recently called on well-wishers to extend financial assistance in aid of his political campaigns said he comes from a humble background and thus understands problems facing Nyali residents.“It is a revolution time. In God we trust,” he said.He is a staunch supporter of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and ODM leader Raila Odinga.Although he is being challenged by Joho’s cousin for the Nyali MP seat, he is expected to ride on his closeness to Raila to sail through during the party primaries and subsequently August 8 polls.Moha is one of Jubilee’s principal critics and at one point Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery called for his probe over claims he is an al-Shabaab sympathiser.
