Kitui Deputy Governor Peninah Malonza has been faulted for using abusive language against her boss Julius Malombe ahead of the August general polls.

Malonza had alleged that the county boss “used and dumped her the same way a male baboon treats females after mating with them, reports, Star.

In a statement released to the media, a group of Kitui women said that the remarks of the deputy county are not only unacceptable but also retrogressive.

The women demanded that Malonza steps down from her job after using vulgar language when referring to his boss.

“We wish to express our utter shock, concern and shame occasioned by utterances attributed to Kitui Deputy Governor Peninah Malonza during a political rally organised by Kitui Senator David Musila in Mutitu Township on Monday April 3, 2017,” says part of the statement, which was read by Pastor Lillian Kiteng’e at a Kitui hotel.

The women also said that it is against the Kamba culture for Malonza to use such terms to refer to her boss, adding that she has mandate to blame the county administration when she is part of it.

On his part, Malombe pointed an accusing finger at Malonza for rallying the electorate behind Senator David Musila as he seeks to oust him out of power. “It is unacceptable for one to continue to rock the boat from within,” he said.
