According to the Maangi, most schools have been facing challenges especially in management and if devolved, he is sure that it will be easily solved from the county level.

Speaking when he visited Kari DEB primary school the deputy governor said that education standards in remote areas of the country were poor since learners were commonly affected by drought and infrastructure problems that are not addressed.

“We can manage schools in the counties so easily and we can ensure that performance is guaranteed since we are the ones who can easily identify the area we need to work on,” he added.

Maangi called upon all education officials from both the national and county government to ensure that they get a long lasting solution to the problems facing Kari primary school.

Parents and pupils of Kari DEB primary school on Thursday took to the streets protesting against the posting of a new head and his deputy to the institution by Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
