Deputy President William Ruto is expected to tour Lari Constituency on Sunday where he is going to lay the foundation stone for the ongoing construction of Lari Technical Training Institute.

Addressing journalists at Lari town, Lari MP Mburu Kahangara urged residents to avail themselves to welcome the deputy president.

 "This is his first time visit here. I am therefore urging you to come in large number to welcome him,” said Kahangara.

The MP also said that the National Government has funded Lari Technical Training Institute project with Sh40 million while the Constituency has funded the project with Sh10 million.

 "We hope that once this project is completed, it will help our youths and equip them with necessary skills,” noted Kahangara.

Area Deputy County Commissioner Bernard Kinyua who has accompanied the MP said security measures have already been put in place.

 "We are aware that a very big number of people will come during the event. We have therefore enhanced our security,” said Kinyua.
