A deputy school principal sentenced to six months behind bars for grabbing a teacher’s breasts has lost his appeal filed at the High Court.
This is after the court found Erick Omondi Odero (deputy) guilty of assaulting Becky Achieng (teacher) on September 20, 2013.
He was handed a six-month jail term or a fine of Sh10 000.
The court was told that Achieng had gone to the senior's office to discuss matters regarding students when the visit turned chaotic, prompting the school bursar to intervene.
The prosecution added that Odero grabbed Achieng’s breasts and braids, threw her against the wall and injured her nose and back.
Achieng was then rushed to hospital with the matter being reported to police.
However, Odero denied the charges and said he had only asked the teacher on the whereabouts of some text books.
