Nairobi County Assembly Deputy Speaker Ken Ngondi has postponed the date of appearing before EACC over the recent violence that occured in the assembly.

The violence was witnessed during the debate on the impeachment of Governor Evans Kidero.

He was expected to appear before EACC on Friday to give evidence on the skirmishes that took place but later postponed to Wednesday next week.

“I wrote a letter to EACC requesting to appear before them on Wednesday next week at 10 am since I am not in the city today,” said Ngondi.

He is currently on a retreat in Kisumu with the Nairobi County assembly liaison committee.

Twelve MCAs have been summoned by the EACC over the violence that occurred at the assembly.
