A day after Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria made a statement against opposition leader Raila Odinga, Kisii elders have now condemned politicians who spread hate speech and call for national unity.
Speaking in Kisii town, Abagusii Elders Council Chairman, senior retired Chief James Matundura has warned that if the politicians spread hate speech, then the country might have clashes come next year general election.
“Politicians should unite all Kenyans. No community should be made inferior to the other. We all should focus on building one Kenya,” said Matundura.
On the same note, the elders urge youths to stay away from politicians who spread hate speech.
He challenged youths to be the agents of peace building and to embrace new ideas that will transform the community.
