The number of people who died on Friday during the welcome of NASA leader Raila Odinga back into the country could be higher than earlier reported.

According to fresh details emerging, at least 10 people were either hacked to death or shot dead around Landhies Road by unknown killers while Raila fought his way to Nairobi downtown on Friday.

According to the Star, some 10 bodies with deep cuts had been dumped at City Mortuary.

It is believed they succumbed to injuries inflicted with blunt objects and bullet wounds.

One of the bodies has a bullet wound in the leg, another in the stomach while another has it in the chest.

Documents at the morgue show that six bodies were taken there by Kamukunji station police officers.

Landhies Road was on Friday the epicentre of confrontation between the police, NASA followers and a third group calling itself the Nairobi Business Community.
