Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho today hosted Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth, and Gender Affairs Hon. Rachel Shebesh at his Mombasa office.
In a tweet, Joho noted that the meeting addressed issues of importance between the two levels of government.
"We covered a wide range of issues of mutual interest between the county and national government. I'm prepared to engage the Ministry of Youth and Public Service on Huduma Mashinani and support to the youth and women at the grassroots level," he posted.
Before the meeting, Joho also hosted the Parliamentary Budget and Appropriation Committee led by Hon. Kimani Ichungwah.
Speaking after the discussion, the Governor noted that he was encouraged by the role parliament is playing in the governance of the country.
"I look forward to more engagements with the committees for the betterment of service delivery," he said.
The past two days have seen the Governor host a number of top leaders in the country.
On Thursday, Uasin Gishu County boss Jackson Mandago paid him a courtesy call.
