Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Thursday received the Parliamentary Budget and Appropriations Committee.
The parliamentary committee was led by Kikuyu MP, Kimani Ichung'wah who has a fierce critic of Joho's administration and a staunch supporter of Deputy President William Ruto and the Jubilee administration.
The team paid Joho, a courtesy call at his office.
On Friday, the governor also hosted members of the National Assembly’s Justice and Legal Affairs Committee who paid him a courtesy call.
"I thank the Honorable members for making time to visit. I am encouraged by the role parliament is playing in the governance of our country," Joho said.
"I look forward to more engagements with house committees to exchange ideas on the betterment of service delivery to our people," he added.
