Mombasa County's Department of Lands, Housing and Planning has concluded a successful workshop with members of the County Assembly Committee on Lands and Housing.

The two arms jointly reviewed progress made on various projects as well as future plans and programmes including the Gate City Masterplan, Vision 2035, the Mass Housing Project and the recently enacted Land Policy that aims to address unique problems affecting land tenure in the County like 'tenants at will'. 

During the meeting on Saturday, CeC Edward Nyale said the department will continue to work closely with the legislative arm to enable them effectively play their oversight role in ensuring effective and efficient service delivery to the residents of Mombasa.

"The department wish to thank members of the Committee and the leadership of the Assembly for availing their time and active participation during the workshop," he said.
