The committee chaired by Imenti South MP Kathuri Murungi is an offshoot of the Public Accounts committee charged with the responsibility of interrogating the financial books of the National Government special funds.

The Governor on his part lauded the assembly on the wisdom that led to the creation of this committee that will go along way to ensuring government special programs receive special attention from the MPs in discharging their oversight role.
