The former Lands Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Minister paid the opposition leader a courtesy call at his Capitol Hill offices in Nairobi.

Odinga expressed gratitude in meeting the governor, saying her rise to the current position was inspiring to the women generation.

"Glad to receive a courtesy call from Mama Ngilu who's rise to Governor has inspired a whole generation of young women, that they can achieve anything they put their minds to and that the glass ceilings of the past are being shattered one after the other," said Odinga after the meeting.

Ngilu who is the Narc party leader, disclosed that their discussions centred on among others Kenya's unity and devolution.

"Had the pleasure of meeting the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga today at his Capitol Hill office in Nairobi. We discussed, among other issues, the Unity of this great nation as well as Devolution and how to strengthen it for the prosperity of all Kenyans," she said on Friday.
