[Photo|Raila Odinga]NASA principal Raila Odinga is set to leave for Washington DC today (Monday).Raila leaves Kenya for the US to address the Congress.The US Congress is split into two; The Senate, headed by Vice President Mike Pence, and House of Representatives, under Speaker Paul Ryan.Reports indicate that it is rare for any foreign politician to set foot in the US Congress, and one must be instrumental to US Foreign Policy and commitment to Democracy so as to get the privilege. Even though there has been no formal communication about his visit, reports indicate that Odinga's address will be to a joint sitting of both Houses.
According Moses Wetangula, Odinga will use the opportunity to set the record straight over electoral 'injustices' experienced in Kenya during the fresh presidential election and Opposition's NASA quest for electoral democracy.
