Governor Granton Samboja held a consultative meeting with the Equity Bank CEO Dr James Mwangi at the bank headquarters in Nairobi.
The meeting on Thursday saw the two deliberate on how to collaborate with the bank to empower entrepreneurs especially youth through financial support, mentorship programmes and capacity building of youth in organised groups.
Samboja said his Taita Taveta county government is organizing for a Youth Summit where over 3,000 youth are expected to attend.
"My administration is committed to ensure that it complies with the Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) law that sets aside 30% of government tenders for youth, women and persons living with disabilities," revealed the governor.
