Kinango MP Benjamin Dalu Tayari hosted the Water and Sanitation Simon Chelugui as he inspected various water projects in the constituency.
During the inspection, the Nyalani Dam project which was donated by Safaricom and Red Cross was officially handed over to the county government which holds the devolved function.
The project serves Vigurungani and Mwakijembe and would also expand to serve up to Kinango.
The two also visited the site of Mwache Dam where tendering is ongoing for the construction funded by the World Bank.
"This project will reduce the water shortage in our constituency and increase food security through an irrigation scheme of approximately 200 hectares," said the lawmaker.
The two also discussed issues of compensation and employment to locals during construction.
Tayari was accompanied by Kwale senator Issa Boy Juma, among others.
