On Thursday morning opposition chief Raila Odinga met retired president Daniel Moi at his Kabarak home in Nakuru County and now it is clear why the two leaders met.
According to Mr Odinga's spokesperson Mr Dennis Onyango, the former Prime Minister visited Moi following his recent hospitalisation in Israel.
"Mr Odinga was visiting to wish the former president well," Onyango said.
Onyango also revealed that the meeting that lasted more than one hour was more on the state of the nation currently.
"The former President was strong and in high spirits," Onyango said.
"At home, he was welcomed by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and former MP Nick Salat who ushered him to a meeting with the former President," he added.
.Raila has in recent days been involved in a series of meetings with leaders who were once his biggest critics after the famous handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Harambee House.
