Speaking when he visited a group of youth who are being trained on ICT at Kiambu Township primary school in Kiambu constituency on Wednesday, Njomo said that ICT can be used to provide efficient services to the people.

The MP observed that Kiambu county government has not taken serious steps towards incorporating ICT in service delivery.

“It is time the Kiambu government incorporated ICT in service delivery so that our people can get efficient services,” he said. The lawmaker noted that ICT applications are being used across the world to better service delivery.

He said that with the advancing technology it will be important for governments to invest more in ICT technologies. Njomo encouraged youths to venture into ICT and start business ventures in the sector.

The MP noted that the ICT sector offers many entrepreneur opportunities that youth can tap and better their lives. The Kiambu MP pledged to support young entrepreneurs seeking to invest in ICT.

A section of youths in the constituency are being trained on various ICT applications. The training that started on Monday is being sponsored by the Kiambu Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in partnership with the ICT Board and Mount Kenya University.
