Our newsdesk has received accounts of an unfolding attack in Ijara constituency, Garrisa County by a resident of the county.
The accounts indicate that the Ijara police station and AP camps have come under attack with heavy gunshots renting the air.
Communication masts belonging to one of the leading telecommunications company in Kenya have also been targeted.
The perpetrators of the attack made away with a police Landcruiser.
No casualties have been reported yet.
There has been no claim of responsibility from any group yet, but suspicion is rife that it was carried out by Al-Shabaab militants.
