Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has said devolution is not about power but service to humanity.
Speaking after the nullification of Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua's August 8, 2017 re-election victory by the Court of Appeal on Friday, Ndeti called on Mutua to Join her team to work for the people of Machakos.
"I have extended an olive branch to my brother Alfred Mutua to Join us and let's work for our people and ensure that they get what they deserve," Ndeti said.
Ndeti thanked the people of Machakos for coming out in masses on the last general elections to vote for her stating she still believes in her ideologies.
She thanked the Judiciary for "transparency and Democratic freedom".
"Today, we celebrate established legacy of democratic freedom, transparent and free and fair elections. Judiciary is indeed doing a great job than before," Ndeti said.
Ndeti criticised Mutua's presidential bid saying that the governor should be working for the Machakos residents instead of engaging in premature 2022 campaigns.
The 2017's Machakos Wiper gubernatorial candidate maintained that she won the election stating she has forgiven the Governor for "stealing" her victory.
"A strong woman loves and forgives. Let's go and perseveres no matter what life throws at her. I believe that I won the election but forgives those who rigged my victory," Ndeti concluded.
