The Ministry of Devolution and Planning is in the process of reviewing Acts that formed regional Authorities across the country.

This is in a bid to align the Authorities with the 2010 Constitution that established devolved units.According to the Principal Secretary for the State Department of Planning, Saitoti Torome, the process is already ongoing and is expected to be completed soon."The authorities were established during the old constitution and with devolution now in place it was important for the acts to reviewed for effectiveness in service delivery to mwananchi," said Saitoti."Some of the projects initiated by the authorities are now devolved and reviewing the acts was inevitable," he added. The PS was in Eldoret town where he paid a courtesy call to Uasin Gishu deputy governor Daniel Chemno, before visiting several projects being undertaken by the Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) in the neighboring Elgeyo Marakwet county.
