[Photo| Busia County Government]A section of women in Busia county have called on the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to devolve its services to constituency levels.According to the women, the presence of NCIC officials at the constituency level will help cool the risen political temperatures and hate speech."I am ready to volunteer so that they would bring NCIC to Busia so as to teach the youths and the community at large the need to embrace peace, " a former Elugulu Ward MCA aspirant Karen Olel said.Another former county rep aspirant Mildred Etete claimed that the youth are the main cause of trouble during elections because they are bitter, energetic and idle.On her part, one of the women Christine Okitoi blamed poll losers and elected leaders in the County for remaining silent despite the unfolding events in the county.Jesca Auma from Nangina Ward noted they had a meeting with area MCA John Obwogo and local administration who advised them not to engage in violence. The women spoke during the County Peace and Cohesion Forum at Border Palace Hotel in Busia on Tuesday.
